L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele - Naama Bay

Light years away from true Neapolitan pizza. Tried it last night with my family. Any advice? There are other pizzerias with much lower prices and superior quality. A real insult to the reputation you uphold.

A small Italian spot in Sharm. We wanted to try Da Michele's pizza. We ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella. The mozzarella didn't taste like buffalo mozzarella, and the pizza had water stains as if it were frozen. The dough wasn't bad, but the air bubbles weren't there, typical of a cartwheel. I really enjoyed the tomato sauce. Too long a wait. Two pizzas came out at a time, even at the large tables. I don't know if it's because of the Egyptians or the small oven! The place is nice, located on a terrace.

First of all, the atmosphere and the taste and portion sizes of the food were very good, but the service charge (cover charge) was not mentioned on the menu or at the entrance; it was charged at the cashier. Also, you don't pay the price listed on the menu; you get a surprise charge based on the current exchange rate. I recommend you go with that in mind.

The experience at Da Michele restaurant in Sharm El-Sheikh was overall positive. The place is truly beautiful, with a large terrace overlooking the main street of Naama Bay, creating a pleasant and lively atmosphere. The staff was kind and welcoming, especially Nadia, a young, smiling, and very friendly woman. We enjoyed chatting with her and she helped make the experience even more enjoyable. The pizza was good and thin, in Michele's signature style. Of course, the flavor isn't comparable to what you'd find in Naples, but it would be unrealistic to expect exactly the same quality. The ingredients and dough were slightly more delicate and much less intense in flavor. The prices are in line with those of Da Michele pizzerias in Italy. The menu is extensive and varied, with appetizers, first courses, and desserts. We also tried an excellent tiramisu, prepared by the charming Nadia herself. Overall, it's definitely a recommended place. The only negative note, for me, was the loud disco music coming from the bar next door.
